Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is a symptom of compression neuropathy that occurs in the hands, specifically median nerve. The incidence carpal adults known to be around 0.7% -9.2% women, while men it 0.4% -2.1%. has 3x greater risk women compared and 2-3 times more common pregnant than those who are not pregnant. purpose this paper determine factors for women. This research literature review as secondary with analytic type using observational methods quantitative approaches. search was conducted at JKKI keywords such syndrome, factors. etiology CTS during pregnancy still unknown but there several can cause edema or water retention, hormonal changes, gestational hypertension preeclampsia, diabetes mellitus, hypothyroidism, nerve hypersensitivity, sleeping position, relaxin hormone, increase fatty tissue pregnancy, changes uterine size.
